Latest HDR\u00a0Support<\/h2>\n

Teranex Mini 8K\u00a0HDR has everything for the latest HDR workflows. All\u00a0that\u2019s required is to connect an HDMI display or DisplayPort monitor to get HDR SDI monitoring. Static metadata PQ and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) formats in the VPID are handled according to the ST2108\u20111, ST2084 and the ST425 standards. Teranex Mini 8K\u00a0HDR models handle ST425 which defines 2\u00a0new bits in the VPID to indicate transfer characteristic of SDR, HLG or PQ. Plus\u00a0the ST2108\u20111 standard defines how to transport HDR static or dynamic metadata over SDI. There is also support for ST2082\u201110\u00a0for 12G<\/span>\u00a0SDI, as well as ST425 for 3G\u2011SDI sources. Teranex Mini SDI to HDMI 8K\u00a0HDR and Teranex Mini SDI\u00a0to DisplayPort<\/span>\u00a08K\u00a0HDR both include the same high quality 33\u00a0point 3D\u00a0LUTs as used in the film industry. 3D\u00a0LUTs\u00a0are perfect<\/span>\u00a0for recreating the look of old style film stocks,\u00a0or they can<\/span>\u00a0be used to compensate for the colorimetry of\u00a0the connected<\/span>\u00a0display. SpectraCal C6, X\u2011Rite i1 Display Pro or the Klein K10\u2011A probes are supported and plug into the front of the converter! Simply start the process in the calibration menu and you’ll get cues to set monitor brightness and contrast before the color calibration process commences. In\u00a01080i formats, you get 50i, 59.94i up\u00a0to\u00a060i. 1080p, 1080PsF as well as 2160p formats are supported from 23.98 to 60\u00a0fps. You\u00a0even get support for 2K and 4K DCI film formats from 23.98p to 60p. 4320p\u00a08K formats are supported at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 50, 59.94 up to 60p. With 2SI to Square Division conversion built\u00a0in, an 8K source will be automatically converted for the monitor. Automatic HDMI Down\u00a0Conversion<\/h2>\n

Even though Teranex Mini 8K\u00a0HDR features Quad Link 12G\u2011SDI when working in full resolution 8K, it can also switch to\u00a0HD, Ultra\u00a0HD, 2K\u00a0DCI and 4K\u00a0DCI formats when required. This means you can use it for a\u00a0lot more than\u00a08K! When a\u00a0HDMI monitor, television or video projector is connected, Teranex Mini 8K\u00a0HDR will communicate with the display via EDID and if the monitor cannot handle the resolution, then it will be automatically down converted for display. The front panel LCD provides confidence monitoring with both images and accurate audio level meters. There are menus for all functions and it\u2019s easy to scroll through menus “pages” to find settings that need changing. The\u00a03D\u00a0LUTs can be enabled just by pressing the buttons labelled 1\u00a0or\u00a02. Calibration is also started via the menus and you simply follow the prompts to calibrate your display. The\u00a0audio meters can even be switched between VU or PPM ballistics.
